/teleport
Teleports entities to a location, another entity, or adjusts their rotation. Full form of /tp with extended facing options.
Syntax
/teleport [<targets>] <destination>|<location> [<rotation>] [facing <facingLocation>] [facing entity <facingEntity> <facingAnchor>]Parameters
| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| targets | entity | Optional | The entity or entities to teleport. |
| destination | entity | Required | Target entity or coordinates to teleport to. |
| rotation | rotation | Optional | The yaw and pitch. |
| facingLocation | vec3 | Optional | Coordinates to face after teleporting (used with 'facing' keyword). |
| facingEntity | entity | Optional | An entity to face after teleporting (used with 'facing entity' keywords). |
Examples
/teleport @s 0 100 0 facing 0 64 0Teleports you to 0,100,0 and rotates you to face coordinates 0,64,0.
/teleport @e[type=villager] ~ ~5 ~Teleports all villagers 5 blocks upward.
/teleport @p @rTeleports the nearest player to a random player.
Common Mistakes
- Using both rotation and facing in the same command, only one can be used.
- Forgetting that /teleport to another dimension is not possible, use the dimension argument in /execute to change dimensions first.
Notes
In Java Edition, cross-dimension teleporting requires /execute in <dimension> run teleport. The facing keyword allows orienting the entity after teleporting.
